Know your Downtown

Swanky Scoops
A downtown scoop shop serving small-batch, gourmet ice cream for the discerning palate, with a rotating lineup of unique flavors. Grab a cone at the counter, find their pints at local retailers, or book the mobile ice cream cart for a private event.

Fifth Third Field
Catch the Mud Hens under the lights downtown, where summer nights and a packed ballpark just hit different.

Glass City Center
Downtown's convention center, wrapped in a glass facade that finally looks the part of the Glass City. Expos, trade shows, and big gatherings, connected right to the Huntington Center.

Hilton Garden Inn Toledo Downtown
The bigger half of the dual-brand Hilton complex that replaced the old Park Inn, sitting right next to the Glass City Center and a short walk from Fifth Third Field. Two hundred seventeen rooms plus a ballroom and seven meeting rooms make it the default for conventions and business travel. If you're in town for a game or a trade show, you can leave the car parked.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Toledo Downtown
The all-suite side of the same downtown Hilton conversion, with 93 suites that each come with a full kitchen and a sitting area. Built for the traveler staying a week or longer who'd rather cook than eat out every night. Same block as the Glass City Center and the ballpark.

Hotel Royal
A small boutique hotel in a building that opened in 1900 as a railroad hotel and came back to life in 2024. It leans all the way into that history, with a handful of rooms done up individually rather than to a chain template. The pick for someone who wants character and a story over a points balance.

Imagination Station
Hands-on science the whole family can dig into, right in Downtown Toledo. Built for kids, but you'll have just as much fun.

Main Library (Toledo Lucas County Public Library)
The 1940 Art Deco flagship of the county library system, a full city block of WPA-era craftsmanship with glass murals to prove it. Free programming year-round, from author talks to kids' events.
Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel
This is the one people picture when they think of staying downtown, a 12-story tower right on the north bank of the Maumee with the river out the window. Brim House handles breakfast through dinner on the ground floor and The Heights sits up top for a drink with a view. Good fit for a Huntington Center show, a Glass City Center convention, or a weekend where walking to everything matters.
